Purpose and legal basis of processing
We process personal data you voluntarily provide (for example when you email us, or when you request a beta spot or book an introductory call) to reply to your enquiry, assess your interest in the beta, and, where you opt in explicitly, to send you product updates. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR for any opt-in communications, and our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for replying to enquiries that you initiate.
Means of processing
Data is processed electronically by authorised personnel and trusted external providers (such as our hosting and scheduling providers) acting as data processors under written agreements. We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
Communication and disclosure
Your data may be shared with third-party service providers, for example our hosting and analytics provider (Vercel) and the scheduling tool used to book introductory calls (Google Calendar), strictly for the purposes described above. We do not sell your data. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, transfers are protected by adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep your data only for as long as needed for the original purpose, or as required by law. Enquiries and beta requests are retained for the duration of our correspondence plus a reasonable archive period. Opt-in communications are retained until you withdraw your consent.
Cookies and analytics
We set no advertising cookies and do not profile or track you across sites. With your consent, we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) to measure, in aggregate, how this page is used and how it performs; the legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. These scripts do not load until you opt in, and you can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. For the full detail of what is processed and how to manage your choice, see our Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Under GDPR Articles 15–22 you have the right to access, rectification, erasure (the "right to be forgotten"), restriction, portability and to object to processing, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to info@maritime-ventures.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
