PSC readiness
·Port State ControlBe ready for Port State Control. Before the inspector steps aboard.
PSC inspections come without warning, and what the officer finds goes on your record. Fleetward turns the pre-inspection your crew already runs into a clear picture the office can see, so you close the gaps first.

On deck
Crew captures it on mobile.
Ashore
The office sees it the moment it lands.
Checked
Read against the standard, riskiest items first.
Closed
Gaps become tasks, fixed while there's still time.
In plain terms
What is Port State Control?
It is the inspection of foreign ships in port, checking they meet the big international rules: SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC and the rest. There is no score. Each ship carries a risk profile instead, and every clean inspection lowers it while every deficiency raises it.
Inspections are targeted, and the same items come up year after year.
Certificates and records
Statutory certificates, the Oil and Garbage Record Books, and ISM and MLC paperwork that matches the logs.
Fire safety
Doors and dampers working, extinguishers in date, escape routes clear.
Life-saving gear
Lifeboats and davits tested, suits and lifejackets accounted for, EPIRB in date.
The crew
Whether the team can run a drill and work the equipment, not just point to the manual.

FAQ
Questions,answered.
Does Fleetward guarantee I will pass a PSC inspection?
No, and be wary of anyone who claims that. It helps you find and fix the avoidable problems before the inspector does, which is where most deficiencies come from.
Does PSC give my ship a score?
No. PSC has no score. It feeds a risk profile that decides how often you are inspected, so a clean record pays off over time.
When should we run the pre-inspection?
Whenever there is time before a likely port call. Fleetward keeps the record current, so you are not starting from scratch each time.
